Nilson at GLUE Utrecht 2026
From May 8 to 10, Nilson participated in GLUE Utrecht, the design festival where creativity, architecture, interior design and, this year, gastronomy came together in the historic city centre of Utrecht.
Together with interior architect Remy Meijers, we presented the Porto design bed, created from a longstanding collaboration in which comfort, architecture, and timeless design come together. During the event, Remy expressed how proud he is of this collaboration, with Nilson being one of the very first partners he worked with.

Within the impressive Fundatie van Renswoude, the design truly came to life. The historic space, with its high ceilings, classic green walls, monumental chandelier, and striking portraits, created an almost surreal setting for the Porto Design. The contrast between the rich history of the room and the understated serenity of the bed created a unique tension. Classical and contemporary elements merged here in a completely natural way.
Remy Meijers transformed the room into a refined design experience centred around tranquility, simplicity, and architectural lines. In this unique setting, the Porto was presented at its very best: a design where comfort and timeless aesthetics blend seamlessly together.
INTIMATE POP-UP RESTAURANT WITH MICHELIN-STARRED CHEFS
In the evening, Remy Meijers transformed the location into an intimate pop-up Michelin-star restaurant at the Fundatie van Renswoude. For three evenings, the monumental building became the stage for a unique encounter between design and gastronomy. Together with three renowned Michelin-starred chefs, Meijers hosted a fine dining experience fully curated around atmosphere, refinement, and craftsmanship.
During GLUE, we met many creative and like-minded people from the worlds of design, architecture, and interiors. Three inspiring days filled with meaningful conversations, creativity, and new encounters.
